Emerging Technology Workshop educates business managers on the productivity benefits of IT (Tue, 8 Dec 2009)

dhc co-hosts a transparent approach to IT for non-technical managers

dhc, a provider of integrated software solutions, is today inviting business managers to attend the Emerging Technology workshop on 13th January 2010. Held in partnership with The FD Centre and ramsac, the free-to-attend event aims to take a straight-talking, non-technical approach to the opportunities and operational efficiencies that IT can deliver to SMEs.

Explains dhc’s Director, Matt Garman, “Today’s abundance of technical jargon and the pressures of the recession, combined with the fast-paced nature of technology, mean that many business owner/managers are faced with the challenge of ensuring that they are investing wisely in IT, but still maintaining a competitive edge. Our workshop will break down the opportunities available to improve productivity and highlight the risks that should be avoided.”

The workshop will be presented by Peter Turner, Regional Director of The FD Centre, a leading supplier of outsourced financial directors; Matt Garman, Director of dhc and Robert May, Managing Director of ramsac, specialists in IT strategy and outsourcing for the SME sector. Topics open for discussion include the latest in Customer Relationship Management tools and burgeoning technology trends.

“The workshop will look at IT from a business point of view, with jargon-free advice on the key decisions that business owner/managers should be making in the short to medium term going into 2010,” adds Garman. “Today we are inviting like-minded professionals to join us at Microsoft’s offices in Victoria, London, to discover how advances in technology can affect business – both positively or negatively.”

The Emerging Technology workshop takes place on Wednesday 13th January 2010 at Microsoft’s offices in Victoria, London. Limited places are available free of charge, please contact Michaela Sillick at The FD Centre to register your details, email: michaela.sillick@thefdcentre.co.uk
