New accounting software ensures business flexibility and intelligence
dhc, provider of integrated software solutions, is today announcing that turbocharger service and suppliers SCM Turbo is using its Access Dimensions with the Office Integration Package to improve efficiency and aid the development of the company.
Based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and with an increasing dependence on IT, SCM Turbo decided to invest in a new software solution, capable of fulfilling its current and future needs as the company continues to grow. The company has seen its day to day business increase and diversify, and required a highly sophisticated IT solution, programmed to more effectively monitor its stock, purchasing and accounting processes.
Whilst investigating available solutions, SCM Turbo was presented with an offering from dhc and information about its expertise with the Access Dimensions package. Also of interest was the company’s ability to provide customised software solutions, tailored specifically to the customer’s requirements.
“dhc’s approach and offering just blew everything else out of the water,” said SCM Turbo’s Production Manager, Jason Barratt. “We wanted software that would be able to grow with us so that we could bolt bits on when needed, and it showed us the perfect solution for doing just that. dhc was also able to develop a customised monitoring module to run on our turbocharger exchange system, so that we could monitor the locations of our old units and identify when it was necessary to replace them.”
Since implementing the new software and going live in April 2009, the Access Dimensions software is distributed throughout the organisation across a variety of departments including stock control, sales, purchasing and accounting and is profiting from increased workflow efficiency, traceability and speed.
“The dhc software solutions may be more sophisticated, but it makes controlling access a lot easier,” continued Barratt. “The speed at which we can process tasks has increased dramatically and that’s with only limited access. The traceability within the software is also amazing. We can trace an order or request right through the system to make sure it is being followed up quickly and correctly - benefiting our customers as well as ourselves.”
